About: Ninewells Hospital / Acute Medical Unit (AMU)

(as the patient),

I was recently an in-patient in Ninewells hospital, ward 15 for almost three days before being transferred to ward 42.

I would like it to be known that the nurses in ward 42 were second to none. Nothing was too much bother to them.

I would like to mention one particular nurse for high praise, namely Charlene Findlay, whose nursing care and bedside manner was fantastic. I have been in hospital quite often and I can honestly say I have never met such a dedicated and caring nurse. The hospital should be very proud to have her.

After the treatment I received in ward 15, which was the worst I have ever experienced, by not only the doctors but I'm sorry to say, most of the nurses. I can assure you ward 42 was absolute bliss except for the same uncaring doctors.

Please see that Charlene gets some kind of accolade for her dedicated nursing skills.

I shall share your feedback with the whole team and I am sure Charlene will welcome your positive feedback. As the Associate Nurse Director for both units I am concerned that your experience was so different in AMU. I would welcome a further conversation to understand why.
