"I'm English in an English hospital in England"

About: Leighton Hospital

And you cant understand some of the nurses ?? Is this right ? I think not, also these nurses require a lot more training to bring them up to UK standards I will say if you have doubt about any of these nurse please say no to them treating you and find one that does understand you and has been trained to a high standard. (I will be making a complaint about these nurses for the way they operate.) Please don't take all this review as bad, because this is a selective few, all other nurses were brill and cant not be faulted x

Thank you for your feedback on NHS choices. I am sorry if you experienced any difficulties during your inpatient stay which you feel relate to communication difficulties with the overseas nurses. As a trust we have invested in a robust induction package for the overseas nurses which includes support to improve their language skills. We recognise that good communication is very important to the patients we care for. Please be assured that as matrons we do monitor the progress of any of our new nursing staff and offer appropriate support to address any issues that may arise. If you would like us to look into the specific concerns you have mentioned then please contact the customer care team on 01270 278098 who will be happy to assist you. Best wishes Laura Egerton, Matron
