I gave birth in qa November 2014 and I was so traumatised by it I am appalled at the service I received. After pushing for two hours midwives decided to take me down theatre for forceps delivery. They left me on my own as I pushed my baby out, when I screamed saying I could feel it coming out they ran back over to me. As they weren't telling me what to do I needed stitches as I suffered very bad tears that don't feel right to this day. I was left there for hours waiting for a doctor to stitch me up. I was in so much pain and could not walk. My husband was sent home and I was left there with a screaming newborn baby no help they just left me for hours my baby had suffered during the delivery and they didn't even check on her. I still think about it now and I can't believe how I was treated they can't wait to get you I. Have the baby and get you back out I would pay private next time I didn't even receive help with my baby I did not know what I was doing but the midwives were happy to help a breastfeeding mum next to me. If I were ever to give birth again it would defiantly not be in qa portsmouth very bad service
