"Gall bladder removal."

About: St Richard's Hospital

I came into hospital for my gall bladder to be removed on day surgery. Alas I had to have the major op due to certain complications. I was informed on my coming round in the recovery ward of what had been done. The staff were very understanding and explained everything in detail and put my mind at rest. When I was moved to the main ward I again found the staff very helpful and very professional. I had to remain in hospital for 8 days but the time passed very rapidly and could not fault my treatment in any way. My Consultant was very caring as were all the staff that were involved in my treatment. Top Marks. I am due soon to have an Ultra Sound on my abdomen having been referred by my General Practitioner. Reflecting on my past treatment last year, I know I will be in very capable hands. Which all helps to alleviate many worries.

Thank you very much for taking the time to give this feedback. It must have been quite alarming for you to have had a major procedure having been expecting a minor one in Day Surgery, and we are very pleased that our staff were able to reassure you, and look after you so well during your extended admission.
