"Maternityand labour care"

About: Wythenshawe Hospital

my gran child was born at this 'hospital' on 21st May. this was after my daughter in law being held in a waiting area for almost 2 days! when asked staff told them they had to prioritise. Their whole experience was traumatic. the birth of anyones first child should not be made a trauma it should be a happy event. my daughter in law was told she could not have an epidural as she would need one to one care and there was not enough staff. eventually she was taken to the labour ward where she was given epidural 3 times and they did not work properly. it worked on one side only and with a paralysed leg. my gran daughter was born with my daughter in law in excruciating pain and the way the baby was delivered tore her. this is shear barbarism to say the least. the baby and parents came home a few hours later to notice a blister on the babys head. they saw the midwife this morning who sent them back to the hospital and after an all day wait!!! they have been told that the baby has an abrasion on her head that is bacterially infected and has been caused during labour or when you were cleaning her. she is now on antibiotics and in the hospital for 2 days. what kind of incompetent staff do you employ? this is disgraceful. you should be embarrassed to call yourself a hospital. in fact if anyone else did this to a baby they would be in a lot of trouble. you really should be disgusted with yourselves. I hope that my granddaughter is going to be ok. incompetence!
