"Lots of care given"

About: Wexham Park Hospital

Had my first child here in December and the midwives on labour ward were really lovely. Had complications so needed cesarean and doctors were just as caring. The ward I was in after surgery was not as good, one staff member very pushy and saying I would 'die' alot if I didn't do XYZ! I was always waiting for pain relief and never told what was happening with my care, when I asked I had to chase up many times before anyone knew. But I got transferred back to labour luckily and the staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for me, explained everything I was going through so I could understand, apart from one doctor who was quite rude and didn't care when they were hurting me alot - but the others all made up for them. I would definitely recommend the labour ward and staff but not the other ward.

Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback on your experience with our maternity services. I'm sorry that not all of your stay was a good as the labour ward. It is unacceptable for staff to be rude and for you to be left waiting for pain relief. Your comments will help us to improve and will be fed back to the maternity team. They will be delighted to read your comments on the labour ward staff. I hope you and your baby are doing well Best wishes Claire Marshall Head of Patient Involvement
