What I liked
Nothing. The whole place was filthy and smelly - faeces on the floor in the ward toilets; no separate facilities for male/female; filthy bathrooms; cockroaches in kitchen area. Food was disgustingly unpalatable. Staff attitude was appalling - treated me like a piece of meat. My son removed me 4 days after major abdomonal surgery as he was concerned about me catching an infection. was not able to have a shower/bath the whole time (6 days) I was there. VILE PLACE - NEVER GO THERE
What could be improved
where do I start. Knock it down; start again and train staff in patient care and basic hygiene before letting them loose on people who are sick and in need of care in clean conditions with good food to assist their recovery.
Anything else?
Absolutely the worst hospital I have ever been a patient at - and I have been in a few as I have suffered poor health since early childhood. It belies what the NHS is supposed to represent and should simply be CLOSED DOWN.
