"Above and beyond the call of duty"

I could not have wished for a better experience yesterday. I was late as a result of a travel issue and on a very busy day in the surgical teams schedule I was accommodated with reassurance. The Anaesthetists were both professional and 'soothing'. the consultant and their surgical team had thoroughly and reassuringly explained the procedure and possible complications. The recovery team could not have been more helpful and went beyond the call of duty to ensure that I was comfortable, even though it was late and they were working beyond their allocated time. I would like to individually mention all of the wonderful nursing staff both pre and post op and, presumably those who were involved in the theatre in my unconscious state. However, I expect that I may breach their privacy by doing so. However, thank you so much.
