I was admitted to Delamare Ward for a vaginal hysterectomy and anterior repair in April. After an initial set back (due to a clerical error) my operation was carried out successfully and with true professionalism. I was fortunate to have a room to myself,as the ward deals mainly with orthopaedic patients. It is a very busy ward with quite a turn over of day patients. I stayed for two nights but could have been in for four if it was deemed necessary. There was a menu card for meals with a wide range of food available. All the food I had was very tasty and nicely presented. The only minor negative observation was that because the ward shares staff with the ward above,I saw a lot of different staff and wasn't sure who to ask for what. This was further complicated by all the different coloured uniforms!
