My friend is in St John's. Ward 18, and while I've previously complained about the lack of cleanliness in the Royal Infirmary ( while a patient there myself). I timed the so called cleaner who spent an entire 23 seconds cleaning the wet room /toilet), I really have to say that ward 18 at St John's is absolutely filthy. It is a disgrace. No wonder patients catch infections while in hospital.
