"Delivery of my baby"

Since I was 11 days late my midwife advised that I be induced. I went into the PRU labour ward at my scheduled time and was seen to very promptly. My care throughout the experience was exceptional and I always felt completely informed at every stage. Since the labour lasted for quite a while, I had a number of midwife's look after me, all of which were great. The labour had some complications and my baby needed to be delivered by forceps. Prior to and throughout the procedure, the team of doctors were amazing. I felt very safe in the operating theatre since everyone knew exactly what they needed to do. The midwife stayed with me throughout missing her lunch and not having a break for hours.
