"There is little to like about ..."

What I liked

There is little to like about the Royal London,

a few of the staff are decent, and work well, but are let down by others, contracted services and appalling communication.

What could be improved

Better communication, staff being aware of dirt, dressings on the floor in the ward and day room,

On 2 occasions the ward I was in was completely un attended and other patients had to call for assistance for another patient who was sick.

Notes are hand written? Is this really the year 2009, food is over processed is not nutritious and patients are given no choice in dietary beliefs whatsoever.

Anything else?

Unless the staff go back to the very basics of care no new building will make any difference to this hospital.. As for the cockroach in the bathroom. It may have been tiny, but where there's one, there's more.
