"I (and my father who accompanied ..."

About: The Royal London Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I (and my father who accompanied me) were astonished by the superb level of care, the respectfulness and kindness of the staff (both medical and administrative), their professionalism and expertise, and the way they all worked together. I was constantly reassured and kept informed, and seen by 3 nurses and doctors, and offered a plastic surgeon. I only waited 20 minutes to be seen (fairly unpleasant laceration but nothing life threatening), and was sent out fully treated, informed, properly dressed and equipped with medicine and information on what to do next. I was embarrassed being there with a minor injury, but could not have been looked after better if I'd been in dire need. I honestly believe this was an example of the NHS as its best.

What could be improved

It's clear the hospital doesn't have much to spend on the non-essentials (the ladies' was out of order, that sort of thing). But as far as level of care and professionalism of staff goes, I have only praise.
