"treatment and parking"

About: Altrincham General Hospital

The attention I received was dignified and efficient, I have only compliments to give to the staff. My main concern is with parking. I am a disabled driver and have to drive myself around. I can only walk very short distances. Imagine my consternation when upon my visit to the new super hospital there are no parking facilities for disable drivers. It seems a shame we are disadvantaged due to age and poor health.

Thank you for your feedback, patient comments are important to us and are an opportunity for us to make changes and improvements wherever possible. Whilst we were pleased to hear that you have received a high standard of care from the staff, we are sorry to learn of your poor experience of parking when you attended the Phlebotomy Clinic at Altrincham General Hospital recently.

In response to your comment, Altrincham General Hospital has 6 dedicated disabled parking bays which are for blue badge holders only. Patients who require a disabled parking space should telephone the Outpatient Reception on 0161 413 7701 in order to pre-book and reserve a parking space for their appointment.

We are very sorry that this information was not communicated to you prior to your visit to the phlebotomy clinic. Your concerns have been raised directly with the department involved for them to update their patient information so that your experience is not repeated.
