I visited the UCC for the first time. The member of staff at reception was nice and helpful as I had no clue how the system worked. Overall the staff were okay, though none of them mentioned their name or introduced themselves (I couldn't even tell if I was being seen by a HCA or nurse, not that it matters greatly). The wait was long but the big television screens did say there was a 3-4 hour wait. Though what I found odd was the screen kept switching from 4 hours then a minute later it would say 3 hours, and then a few minutes later switch back to 4... The toilets are tiny! If you have claustrophobia I would advise against using them. And I would recommend to facilities that they should install a coat hook to the back of the door. There was nowhere else for me to hang/store my possessions. Overall I wouldn't say my experience was bad or poor. I was treated fairly and wasn't made to feel inferior or wasting anyone's time. But I didn't feel like I was placed at the centre of my care or even made to feel valued.
"Not bad"
