I have visited the Neurology outpatient department three times in the last year and I have to say, the way that the consultant neurologists treat you has not gotten any better. I understand that they might be understaffed but if you are dealing with a condition like epilepsy, you can't just say "you realise you'll probably have this for the rest of your life don't you" in a patronising/heartless manner and push you out the door. The next time when my MRI showed an abnormality, I only heard about it when the neurologist said the words "potential tumour" into their dictaphone and then shut it off and said, see you in 5 months. I was thinking, hold on a minute, you need to explain that and not just gloss over it because you think its no big deal.
