"Labour, postnatal care and SCBU"

About: Darent Valley Hospital

In labour I found the midwives very helpful especially the student midwife. They were supportive and gave me lots of options. My baby's heart rate dropped so I ended up in your theatre where I feel the doctors worked effectively to keep my baby and myself safe. I feel the postnatal care was very good the staff were kind and empathetic. Although they sometimes forget to give you things you ask for. My baby was admitted to the high dependency SCBU. The staff there are absolutely amazing. I feel they supported me and involved my partner and I in every decsion. They made you feel like my baby was In the best care possible. The only improvement I can think of is more bays so you can stay with your baby when you've been discharged.
