"Car Parking"

About: Broomfield Hospital

Had an appointment today (18/05/2015) at 2.40pm. Arrived at the hospital at about 2.15pm but could not find a parking place. Went around the 2 storey car park slowly because of the quantity of cars looking for a space. Went around a 2nd time without any luck, then went to the new small car park. Again went around the major car park again without any luck. By this time I had missed my appointment by 20 minutes so I gave up, went home and made another appointment in June at 4.10pm. Being this late I should get a parking place this time. I think it is a disgrace that the hospital has not made sufficient parking places available for its patients. It is obvious that when the hospital was rebuilt nobody thought the problem through. God help us if that person or committee are responsible for something serious in future. They will make an almighty cock up of it. Broomfield hospital please take note, make solve the parking problem and remove the frustration of the patients.

I am really sorry that you had problems finding a parking space. We are aware this is an issue for patients and staff so the Trust is recruiting to a new post to oversee car parks and improve access. We have a great bus service from Chelmsford and Braintree and encourage anyone who is able to use those services. Patient Experience Team
