"Rude and Ignorant Staff"

I attended the A & E department last November, and after seeing a nurse who assessed me, I was told to go and wait in a small room. We waited (I was with my husband) and waited for hours and eventually a doctor came. After telling them what was wrong they said to me "Why are you here" What a way to treat someone who, one week later, was rushed into another hospitals A & E department with very serious symptoms which, I was told by the specialist doctor, could have resulted in complete kidney failure if I had left it any longer. I found the doctors at St Marys very bad, not once did anyone come and tell us what was going on or when I would be seen, I was just left in this small room not knowing what was happening. At one stage they made an announcement over the tanoy system for me to make myself known to a member of staff - they clearly did not know where I was!!!! Well, Im thinking to myself, this is what I get when I have paid into the NHS for over 40 years, to be treated and spoken to like an idiot. Nothing else to say.
