I was on John Young ward for just over 3 weeks and the care was faultless. The staff from cleaners caterers, nurses doctors and consultants were fabulous. I was admitted for 3 weeks for tests but unfortunately had meningitis so tests were not done but everyone made every effort to get me better.
The SHO ( lady ) Anaya was amazing ensured I received the best of care when I was at my lowest with the infection. I will never forget her calming voice and composed attitude she really was a diamond.
My consultant was excellent (lady ) Dr Miller nothing was ever too much trouble for her and her registrar ( male ) david. I will be forever in their debt for getting me through my darkest days.
All the nurses especially Newly qualified of 2 months ( male ) Lewis was amazing I would have trusted him with my life. He was so attentive, caring and nothing was ever too much trouble. The whole nursing staff I must say we're always smiling asking if anything was needed and were constantly busy with one patient or another. The work and commitment from all nurses and HCA is out of this world never before have I been cared for in such a good way.
Food was good when I ate. The male caterer on the ward 3 days a week deserves praise he was always jolly and tried to encourage everyone to eat. He went out of his way to get what you wanted.
"Excellent care"
