From seeing the consultant to being admitted for surgery To have a tumour removed I cannot complain....dealt with professionally by all staff prior to surgery. My surgeon was brilliant saw me in follow up clinic earler than normal and carried out my surgery very successfully. . once on Ward 3 I was well looked after on the whole although it took some time to get satisfactory pain relief. I was In for 6 days and cannot fault the the hardworking staff although at times it was clearly very busy and particularly at night it seemed very understaffed. unfortunately during my stay a particular patient in a side ward was very disruptive and demanding of staffs time. I appreciate this may have been unforeseen but when you aren't feeling great and someone is being disruptive and attention seeking its not ideal. I felt for the staff but at the same time they were giving her a lot of attention which was exactly what she wanted even taking her out for cigarettes which I understand isnt allowed. This was the only down side of my stay and at times I felt that this patient compromised the safety of all of the patients in the hospital.
