"fulwood hall day case"

About: Fulwood Hall Hospital

what ever you do don't be fooled by the hype fulwood hall do not and I repeat do not offer same sex accommodation in the day case unit. there is no dignity or respect I was put in a what they call a pod which is made up of three walls and a curtain across the front as a female I was put in a small area with three male patients sharing a toilet and given a cup of coffee in a take away paper cup and a packet of what ever biscuits they had no choice.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention, I am extremely disappointed that we did not meet your expectations. I understand our Operations Manager, Sue Soothill, has since been in contact to discuss your experience so that we can learn from it. We do aim to ensure that the two ward areas in our daycase unit are each kept specifically male or female although on some busier days this is not always possible. However we always ensure that we meet the CQC requirement of providing separated, curtained-off bays for each patient with dedicated toilet facilities for each gender. If you have any further concerns, please do not hesitate to contact myself or our Operations Manager. Patricia Varley Acting Matron - Fulwood Hall Hospital
