At the end of January 2015 I attended a angeogram pre-assessment at Barnet Hospital. From there I was transferred to The Royal Free, but then rushed to The London Heart Hospital for urgent heart by-pass treatment. I should now like to express my most sincere gratitude to all the wonderful nurses and doctors at the 3 hospitals who virtually saved my life. I would particularly like to thank one nurse at Barnet who was conducting the pre-assessment lecture. During the questions and answers period, they had the presence of mind to realise something was wrong, this set the wheels in motion, hence my stay at the LHH for five weeks. I must thank the surgeon and their team at the London Heart Hospital, not forgetting the terrific nursing staff, for their care and attention throughout my ordeal. I could not have had better treatment and care. In conclusion, I do wish the media would stop bashing the NHS, it is the best in the world in my opinion.
