"Excellent trauma service"

My elderly mother recently fell and broke her arm. She was treated in the RVI whee she underwent surgery to fix the fracture. The service she received was first class. The Consultants involved in her care displayed a high level of skill in her care, delivered with kindness and professionalism. The ward team were excellent, caring for her extremely well. The discharge planning was efficient (despite it being over a Bank Holiday weekend) and she went home after a few days with home carers in place to help her during her recovery. The media present a constant stream of negativity about the NHS but this recent experience by our family of the care my mother received in the RVI has been very positive. We are fortunate to have such an excellent service in our city.
