About: Altrincham General Hospital

I have been to the Anticoagulant clinic at Altrincham Hospital recently. I have to go regularly. I am disabled and have a Blue Badge but was most surprised that there is no Patients Car Parking. I had to go round and round looking for a parking space near enough for me to get to the hospital for me. I was late for my Appointment and am sure my blood pressure was sky high. Fancy building a new hospital with inadequate parking. It will put me of attending the clinic regularly.

Thank you for your feedback, patient comments are important to us and are an opportunity for us to make changes and improvements wherever possible. We are sorry to learn of your poor experience of parking when you attended the Anticoagulant Clinic at Altrincham General Hospital recently.

In response to your comment, Altrincham General Hospital has 6 dedicated disabled parking bays which are for blue badge holders only. Patients who require a disabled parking space should telephone the Outpatient Reception on 0161 413 7701 in order to pre-book and reserve a parking space for their appointment.

We are very sorry that this information was not communicated to you prior to your visit to the phlebotomy clinic. Your concerns have been raised directly with the department involved for them to update their patient information so that your experience is not repeated.
