"Accident & Emergency Unit"

About: Bristol Eye Hospital

Exhausted after waiting to be seen by a doctor. Staff general stressed and unhelpful, brusque with patients and generally not interested in providing a service. Staff were more concerned with joking with students in attendance than with patients. Had telephoned earlier so staff were expecting me. Waited 4.5 hours to see a doctor. Doctor's manner was uncaring, applying more eye fluid as effect of earlier drops given had worn off. Didn't offer a tissue as it poured down my face or seem concerned when I complained of it stinging my eyes. Had go out and wait another 30 mins for it to take effect. Passed over to another doctor. The consultation rooms were dowdy and cluttered. I noticed several people complain to staff about the wait and leave without even seeing the doctor. Compared to my optician's practice in the Mall the experience felt third rate and amatuer.
