About: The Tunbridge Wells Hospital

Totally disgusted with trhe overall management. My brother-n-law was admiited for surgery then told that no beds were available. Operation was delayed for seven days which was performed only to find out that no beds were available following surgey. He spent hours in recovery and my sister was not permitted to visit her husband more than 10 hours after her husband had been admitted. Staff had no idea what was going on and just made up stories to try and satisfy my sister. The hospital has some serious problems as even consultants were not aware that there were no beds otherwise operation would have been delayed (yet again). Absolutely disgraceful and the problems rest with the management, such as it is.

Dear Mr Sivyer Thank you for taking the time to write a review regarding your brother-in-law's recent experience at Tunbridge Wells Hospital and we were sorry to hear about the delay in him receiving surgery. Unfortunately the Trust have been experiencing an increased amount of emergency admissions which can result in the need to use beds previously designated for planned procedures and this situation can change daily. We were disappointed to read about the lack of communication regarding the patient's recovery and if you would like us to look into this further, please do not hesitate to contact the PALS office on mtw-tr.palsoffice@nhs.net. With Kind Regards the PALS team
