"just to give birth to my baby boy!"

About: Barnet Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

just to give birth to my baby boy!

What could be improved

everything! shortage of staff, midwife, not caring, it was the worst experience ever.

Anything else?

I was supposed to be indused since I had gestational diabetes and 12 days overdue. the first night they did not give me the pestrin which was prescribed to be given to me every 6 hours. and then for 3 days Ive been given the pestrin once a day!! just because they did not want me to go into labour because they did not have enough staff. they were supposed to check my blood suger 1 hour after each meal and they done it once on time and 2 other times after more than 2 hours. after my baby was born I could not breastfed him straight and in 24 hours they only fed him 3 times when he was suppose to cup feed ever 3 hours.

during my 7 days stay in Victoria ward I had the worst time in my life when it suppose to be the most exc iting experiment and if I want to write about every single issue I need 7 weeks.

As an organisation we are committed from learning from specific issues and from any mistakes we have made. Hearing about where we can do better helps us to pinpoint where exactly to make improvements to the service we provide. You comments have been passed to the Matron for maternity services
