What I liked
I was admitted to Barnet after being transferred from Chase Farm for the very early birth of my daughter. Due to my health, the period of my stay and the subsequent long stay of my baby in NNU, I only have praise for the care, respect, friendliness, helpfulness, understanding and appreciation of the hard work that the staff in the labour ward, aftercare ward, Victoria Ward and NNU and I made sure they knew I appreciated them with a "hello, bye, please and thankyou"- some patients forget this!!! This also includes the cleaners who were always present on the wards while we were there (there was only 1 nurse and 1 doctor whom I think needed a bit more compassion with regards to my situation). Im glad that I gave birth at Barnet.
What could be improved
Its too expensive to park, £4 is a lot for visitors when they are making a few visits. Long term patients, families should be told about the £20 parking permit earlier if staff are aware that they will be visiting hospital daily for a long period. Also having this permit means nothing when you use it at Chase! The only available spaces are in the multi - storey but without staff employed there, a paper permit does not open the barrier does it!!???
I also dont agree with the fact that staff have to pay for their parking on site at Barnet!
