It’s now two years since we first made contact with CHC to re-establish care. My wife was approved as being CHC eligible in August 2013. As of today my PHB is still not up and running and the care plan is not approved or denied. It’s been that way since November 2013. I’ve seen literally every possible person for reassessment and more information for CHC to make a decision and they received the last significant of these in December 2014. CHC have acknowledged that they have all possible information but a decision is yet to be made – it will come “in due course” and I’m stuck in limbo waiting.
Oh yes and we found the guidance on the amount of time this should take from NHS England – 28 days.
