"A&E"

I visited the A&E department with my 5month old son poorly projectile vomiting and also my mother in law and my 2year old daughter we was taken through to the children's department we was told there was no isolation room left and was put in a nurses office all four of us. My daughter fount some toys in there and began to play with them a member of staff told me to put the toys away as nurses needed access to the computer, but it was not our fault we was put in there. A nurse came in and did their observations for my son, who was very nice and found a room for my son. I was taken to the room and I told my mother in law to take my 2 year old daughter in the childs waiting/play area instead of being stuck in a room with me and my ill son. My daughter was playing with a toy pig in there which was taken of her for no reason and it was put on a high shelf out of the children's area even though she was playing with it. Her nan then got her crayons out for her to draw with, then my mother in law took my 2year old daughter out of a&e department to get her a drink when she returned my mother in law noticed the crayons were packed away, so she took my daughter back to the room where I was with my ill son. My daughter then got some toys out from a shelf that was in the room. The member of staff then came in and said she couldn't play with them as they are toys to distract patients, they then got a sheet out and wrapped it around the shelf so my daughter could not see and get to the toys. I think it is a disgrace for a member of staff to do that to a innocent child who was not doing any harm - everything my little girl did was wrong and I don't understand why? I was aloud to go home later afternoon with my son, but returned the following morning due to him still being ill and was treated with kindness by the children's nurse who looked after my son well. Nothing was too much trouble for the nurse and they wrote everything down for me to take home about how to give my son his medicine - a fantastic nurse.
