"Care fantastic but improvements needed not related..."

About: St James's University Hospital

My daughter aged 19 called me in tears - she'd arrived at St James's with an urgent referral letter from her doctor and the recptionist didn't know what to do with her. She was alone and frightened. This did get sorted but not before she's had time to call me. I arrived to visit her that evening. I parked at the car park and had nno clue where to go as I didn't know which wing she was in. Again, it got sorted but why no clear signage to a main reception? We had to do a lot of sitting and waiting - why no wifi? This is 2015 and it should be standard - would have happily paid a small fee to access it. Finally - the cost of the parking - I was there all day and it cost over £17 - that is too much. Your doctors and nurses and all other staff we came into contact with were amazing. But whoever is in charge of the whole patient/visitor experience needs to get busy making improvements.
