About: Hull Royal Infirmary

my son was on acorn ward at the hospital with a hip complaint, and although his hip was fine the staff wouldn't let him leave for 5 days. It has come to light that he has perth disease, but for the care he got whilst at the hospital he could of had in the comfort of his own home. This made him irritable and the ward became more like a prison than a place of care. Parents are allowed to stay in hospital with their children overnight which every parent is supposed to get a camp bed to sleep on, one of those nights which my partner stayed this didn't happen after asking 4 times, leaving him no choice but to share a bed with our son, it came to light they were cutting corners as in the morning he realised the ward was having a inspection. Oh and the food I imagined it would be more like 1950 school dinners, how I was wrong. Basically my child starved for 5 days.
