I had to take my 86 year old mother to LIncoln A&E yesterday as she was in great pain following a hernia op in Leicester. Staff feared she might have a clot. She was booked in, assessed by a nurse, examined by a doctor had a blood test and was sent for a scan. We got the all clear. No big deal, you might say. But, from the receptionist at A&E, the triage nurse, the doctor and the nurses doing the scan, my mother received the most wonderful, caring and efficient treatment. The doctor talked us through what was going to happen and promised to be there when we got the scan result. True to his word, they were. The kindness and consideration received made me thank God (and the Labour Party!) for the NHS.
"wonderful treatment"
