I was brought in recently by ambulance with very high temp and nausea also I had excruciating pain in my head and was in agony with seeing daylight..
I was kept in A+E for 6 hours left under lights no pain relief offered then taken up to a ward (ward 10)
Got up there in to a side ward that had blood on the floor to which the nurse who was there ignored it so my partner cleaned it up..
After the night from hell where all the staff on duty were loud and disrespectful i felt at night, laughing and joking. I was in agony and was diagnosed with viral meningitis and had brain scans and 3 attempts at lumber punches.. I was sent home as they had taken me off meds and I could not wait 3 hours for my medication as I needed to get my little boy. They sent me out my room feeling as ill as I was and I left without..
Now a week later I'm still suffering not being able to walk and being sick along with even worse head pains. I called an ambulance and they sat on Google! ! ! ! Also stating good hope A+E was busy and I would be waiting 6 hours minimum.. And to see it out at home..
I then called up ward 10 and spoke to the member of staff that discharged me to be told off over the phone and spoken to like a child, saying my medication has been taken down it's my own fault. I was to let the ambulance sort me out and put down the phone! ! ! ! I did mention 3 times when I was an Inpatient I asked for the doctor on the ward and complained as staff refused to come into my room as apparently I had TB! ! ! Telling cleaners to hurry up in front of me and them being shocked by their own staff behavior ... I felt intimidated to go to the loo as then I had signs saying it was only my toilet and the looks I got when I was going in there was awful.
A hospital is a place to feel comfy and settled. I felt on edge that I was a germ and sat and cried for days. The doctor knows this also. This has now spread as they have discharged me and my partner has it. They should be shocked and ashamed as even on my death bed I will not be returning back to good hope hospital! ! ! Staff are under trained and have no people skills i feel! !
