"well done to all concerned."

About: Tameside General Hospital

on the 6/5/15 I had an appointment to see the doctor / nurse for a consultation . When I booked in at reception I was booked in by a very cheerful and helpful person and told where I needed to go. On entering the department I was greeted by a pleasant receptionist .I waited my turn and was called in to see the nurse who was also very polite and helpful .After that I had to have a blood test taken by a very over worked nurse working on their own and should have finished work at 6 o'clock the time then was 6-20 and they still had three more patients to take blood from after me . Despite the fact the nurse was working on their own and at a guess I would think they would not finish the other three patients much before 7oclock the nurse was very pleasant and caring and credit to them despit having to work past their finishing time was still caring and cheerful . This visit to your hospital was another pleasant experiance and well done to all the staff concerned.

Thank you for taking the time to post about your experience here at Tameside Hospital.

We are working hard to improve patient experience, so it is lovely to hear first-hand that this has been your experience.

Your comments have been passed on to the teams involved in your care.

’Would you like to help the hospital to improve its services further? We are currently looking for patients and carers to become involved in a development called “Patient Stories”. We want to know more about our services from the point of view of those who received them – what was good, bad, what could be improved, what should be changed.
