I stayed in the Hallamshire for 4 weeks following a road traffic accident and during my stay (although I was comatose the majority of my visit), the staff were friendly, cooperative and my family were made extremely comfortable in the time they spent in the hospital with me. My family were kept in the know about everything I was going through, and made a part of decision making processes. Following my discharge, my mum took me back to see the nurses and they were all delighted to see how well I was doing - they took a real personal interest and actually cared about the work they were doing. My consultant was also brilliant, they came to see me regularly and had good knowledge of what was going on. The hospital made the experience just that little bit less horrible and traumatising for me, and my family, and for that I will be eternally grateful. Visit was actually in 2011 but I never realised I could leave this kind of review.
"Great staff"
