"SHO's and Registrars very ..."

About: St Helier Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

SHO's and Registrars very helpful. Never managed to speak to consultant though

What could be improved

My relative was constantly being transferred to different wards resulting in medication chaos and lack of personal care. At one time she was moved twice in one day!! Apparently all arranged by Admin Staff She was in hospital for 8 weeks and only once had a bath and that was by a temporary nurse from Mary Moore Ward

Anything else?

Nursing care appalling seemed to be complete lack of morale and very unhappy overworked nurses particularly no attention if in side room. The exception was Mary Moore Ward which was brilliant and really showed up the lack of care elsewhere-can't speak highly enough of this ward

Thank you for taking the time to let us have your comments about the care your relative received at St Helier Hospital. I was particularly pleased to hear what you had to say about our SHOs (senior house officers) and registrars, as well as about the staff on Mary Moore ward. We will pass on your feedback.

I was sorry to hear that not everything was perfect and I would encourage you or your relative to contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 020 8296 2508 or by email (pals@esth.nhs.uk) so that we can investigate the issues you raise and let you have feedback.
