i attended A&E on june 13th 08, i had an accident at work and injured my shoulder. Two years before this i had received a similar injury so i sort of knew what was wrong. after 4 hours i was seen by a doctor, who carried out a very basic examination and made me feel like a complete fraud, she said i'd bruised my shoulder. When in fact i had a rotator cuff injury and a torn tendon, which was operated on in Feb 09 at Royal Surrey hosp. Guildford, incidentally a hospital i would recommend.

Well as your asking, my partner had to attend A&E in November 08 with a problem to the souls of her feet, she was seen by a Doctor who sent her away with a pair of crutches and told take it easy, no actual diagnosis. Because of the delay in identifying her condition she is now suffering chronic plantar fasciitis. Had this been noted sooner she may have been cured of this very painful condition but now her treatment is probably going to be a lot more painful involving injections. An early diagnosis is essential with this condition.
