"Waiting for results?"

I went for a barium enema on 17/4/15, I was told my letter would arrive within the next two weeks, obviously it hasn't arrived so I phoned the hospital and have now been told it has been put on the consultant's desk and it will be next week before the letter is sent out! I have been worried for two weeks and now have to wait another two to find out what the results are. I don't think this is a good service at all. The secretary I spoke to was as helpful as they could be and has moved my results along but I still feel cross at having to chase up my results.
