"Lack of Communication in Geriatric Outpatients at Royal Bolton"

About: Royal Bolton Hospital / Older people's healthcare

(as the patient),

My mother had an average hospital visit when she visited Geriatric Outpatients at Royal Bolton. However, I was not happy that when we arrived her appointment was changed to another outpatient area, but she was not informed before hand.

I was slightly concerned that, as my mother is hard of hearing, we felt that no attempt was made by the doctor to communicate with her, but he took the easy option of talking to me.

The result of the appointment was that my mother needed a 24 hours heart monitor and an ultrasound scan. Now it is 3 months later and we have still received nothing from the hospital.
