"A & E_not interested"

About: St Helier Hospital

Following a fall in which I sustained a head injury I attended A & E on Wednesday evening. The reception can only be described as dispassionate disinterest. I received no triage or assessment. After waiting 20 minutes my friends took me home as I really needed to lie down and would have felt worse just sitting in a waiting room. One of them kindly stayed the night in case I needed help. There was no indication of when I may have been seen and only one person was called whilst I was there.
