What I liked
The care my partner received in ICU & on Trafalgar ward following a major operation & subsequent heart attack were excellant. The nurses & HCA's were brilliant, couldn't do enough for him. They also answered any question I ask them about his care in a sympathetic manner & in a language I could understand.
What could be improved
The food ! - Some of what he was offered was enough to put me off my dinner, let alone someone who has been very poorly.
Anything else?
My partners request for no visits from the Chaplain were totally ignored, although to be fair, the staff in ICU were told that my partner requested them to visit! Even after I made a complaint, a representative of the chaplain visited again when he was put onto a ward. Only an intervention from the nurse stopped further visits. - If a patient says no, it should mean no - not maybe, if I feel like a visit.
