"Parking at Southampton General"

About: Southampton General Hospital / General surgery

(as a relative),

I have had to use the parking at Southampton General for 3 weeks, while my wife was under going heart surgery. Trying to obtain a prepaid parking ticket, is not the easy.

Firstly the office only work limited hours, even closing at 3pm on a Friday. Why are they not open longer as the car parks are open 24 hours?

Secondly don't even think you can pay by debit card, as the machine is non operational and has been for over 9 months, with the vast sums of money they are collecting in parking, why haven't they got the machine repaired?

We are sorry that you have had a frustrating time with paying for your car parking. Your concerns have been shared with Travelwise. I am assured that the issue with the credit card machine in the Travelwise office has been escalated to achieve resolution.
