"Not fit for purpose"

I visited Trowbridge MIU today with my daughter. We were met by a receptionist who was reading a novel! We were abruptly advised that we should have contact the out of hours 111 service and not come to the MIU (despite being advised to present at MIU by a GP 2 days previously if my daughters condition did not improve). So we sat in a hospital, whilst phoning a call centre!!!! The 111 service informed me that someone would call me back and that we should wait at MIU. We were eventually seen, after a 2 hour wait, by a lovely nurse but it appeared that they were only able to take temperatures. They then advised us to go home and someone would call us! My daughter was then prescribed medication over the phone without actually having been properly examined. A shambles and an accident waiting to happen.
