I understand some of the comments and criticisms made by some other patients. In my case my regular dentist at that time botched a root canal treatment I had years, yes years of pain, it made me miserable and other dentists trialled and errored to deal with it unsuccessfully. Eventually I got to MDH which is a very busy pace doing lots of great work for us without enough public praise or acolade. To go private would cost me £700 I hadn't got. i didn't know what to expect but from the outset I was treated with utmost care, respect and most of all professionalism. I was astonished at the work these people get asked to do and they do it well - very well. If you expect this place to be like your regular dentists, forget it - this is a 'full on' Teaching Hospital and if they can't fix it well who can? They fixed me after a dentist left a small fragment of metal file in my root canal accident or clumsy I don't know but it is more common than you might think. Anyway my treatment was tricky and not guaranteed to succeed but it did. I am now totally free from pain for the first time in years after a truly skilled training Dentist, I had the best treatment I could have expected any where -paid or not. And wait fot it - it was free. So please patients, try not to complain as the people there are trying hard to both learn their trade and help us with real dental issues whilst funding is very tight for them. I would still think this is a fantastic place even my treatment was not a success as they do amazing work as you will see if you go there. Thank you MDH for making me well again!
