I attended St Helier 2 weeks ago and was seen by Sel Doc after calling 111. The doctor I saw was professional, well mannered and thorough. They referred me to the medical team and I was seen within 2 hours and then admitted to the AMU ward for observations. The medical Doctor was again professional and thorough. The doctor took my condition seriously. As I suffer from a rare Neurological disorder the Doctors were honest in stating they had never heard of it, and would have to treat me for chronic migraine with face pain. They did not at any time dismiss it as a mild headache. When I got onto the ward the nursing staff could not have done enough for me. They were also professional, kind, polite and attentive. The ward was clean and I was swabbed for MRSA. The pharmacy team were fantastic and when they discussed the pain medication that I would have to take it was explained in detail and I was told that I could contact them if I had any queries. Overall a great service and a great hospital. My only grumble was I had to wait over 4 hours for my medication.
"great hospital"
