"Delivery Suite - midwives/doctors ..."

About: East Surrey Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Delivery Suite - midwives/doctors were all incredibly supportive and had a really good experience

What could be improved

Burstow Postnatal Ward - complete opposite to the Delivery Suite. Midwives all had different opinions as to how to breastfeed which resulted in me bottle feeding as baby wouldn't latch on and she needed food. Also, it took them 3 1/2 hours to see me when I was moved to the ward. As I had had a Caesarian section I was in alot of oain and had no pain killers during that time. When I asked for some after 3 1/2 hours I was offered Morphine, which I refused and asked for something weaker where the midwife replied "are you in pain or not?"

Anything else?

The midwives in the Delivery Suite should train the midwives in Burstow. There is no excuse.
