My experience in the FVRH has been tremendous from March being told I had DCIS high grade to being seen quicker due to me phoning. Rana at breast care team up has been brilliant. Mid March DCIS high grade shown on mammogram. Mr M. Winhler said it would have to be removed.
A few days later had a stereotactic biopsy done, 2 bvti showed benign but they weren’t classed as representative as they didn’t have any micro calcification in them. 3rd bvti showed precancerous cells. Operation to remove the breast scheduled for the end of April.
Beginning ofl got results but was told couldn’t get mastectomy any quicker, which by the way I decide no myself due to bcis being over 4cm area and being high grade. I made the correct decision.
I got in that much of a state over all this, I phoned my GP and seen her, she made an appointment at the hospital to see Mr Clurk he was really good, I also seen Mr Seah who would be doing the operation. He made me feel really at ease. Prior to all this I had phoned Rana and told her how upset I was and that I’d found lumps on my neck at night and in my groin. She told me to come and see her the next day and that she would talk and get someone to look at my lumps. She spoke to me and saw how upset I was. She got Professor George to look at lumps and he assured me they were nothing to do with my breast, he was really good. Rana then went away and got the operation pulled forward. I can’t thank her enough, she’s brilliant and so are the whole team. Thank you
