"Removal of Gallbladder/Cholesystectomy"

About: Grantham & District Hospital / Gastroenterology

(as the patient),

Firstly, January GP appointment and referral letter to Grantham Surgeon, Mr Andrews. I was offered an outpatient appointment in January 2015 whereby we discussed the operation fully. I delayed the op date so that I could lose some weight and it was agreed that I could do this. I went to GP again for an NHS 12 week fitness referral at a local gym. I managed to lose 2stone before the op which was scheduled for mid April 2015. I went for a pre op assessment at the beginning of April for height, weight, blood tests etc; I felt nervous about the operation as I am 70 years old.

The whole experience was good.
